Operation Wanted Roundup

Operation Wanted has wound up for another year. We desexed a total of 70 animals during the scheme this year.

If you want the full breakdown, we desexed:

  • 33 dogs
    • 21 female
    • 12 male
  • 37 cats
    • 17 female
    • 20 male

Which means that there are:

  • 22 less animals that are at risk of testicular cancer,
  • 22 more animals with a reduced risk of prostate cancer,
  • 38 less animals that are at risk of developing ovarian cancer, a life-threatening uterine infection or dying because something went terribly wrong while pregnant, giving birth or feeding babies and
  • 38 more animals with a reduced risk of developing breast cancer

Even better, there will be a lot fewer unwanted puppies and kittens that end up homeless or in a shelter (or worse) over the next few years. And that's more than enough for us.
